Jo Walton will be at Bakka Phoenix on Saturday February 25th, to celebrate the trade paperback release of Among Others, an excellent novel. Come out if you can to meet her. It’s at 3 PM, it will be a great time, and there will be cookies!

Chesley, multiple Hugo, and Rotsler, Award winning artist Brad Foster is creating the colourful image that will illuminate SFContario 3′s convention t-shirt.
So far our favourite Texan artist has given SFContario his versions of Toronto landmarks CN Tower and the clamshell (City Hall).
This year?: “Hey, I love them geodesic dome things!”
Yes, Ontario Place, prominent in the memories of people who in the previous century went to the waterfront attraction to experience movies projected on the then-new, and revolutionary, IMAX screen.

Constellation Awards

What: Canada’s annual science fiction awards focused on rewarding excellence in science fiction film and television.

Aurora Awards
Nomination deadline: March 31, 2012
What: Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards (Auroras) recognizing work and fan activity done in 2011. Awards are open to all Canadians, expats, and landed immigrants.
Presented at: When Words Collide Calgary
To nominate or vote you must be a member of CSFFA (Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association), the society which runs the awards. Annual dues to join the society are just $10 Cdn.
